Le Meridian - Here I come

It had already been 2 days with One World and i needed to move on...I bade goodbye to Oneworld and got ready to move to Le-Meridian and guess who helped me......Ahem, Yes, it is Anil the Saviour again.

We got onto a taxi and then took a train and Le-Meridian was the next building to the Central Station. It had been very difficult to reach since it was raining and we had the 30 kgs suitcase along with us.

I had reached Le-Meridian, late evening and went to the room and checked out the view from the Window, it had been towards the Palm Courts, Brickfields ( my would-be home in Malaysia). Anil took me the same night to Palm courts to show me the flat as a option for accomodation, well, i had liked it, since it had been all wooden flooring and AC.

hmm.. In the laps of Luxury ( soon to see , how much Luxury :))

Evening at Suria Plaza

Trrnnng... Hello, this is Anil, we are going to Suria plaza, if you can join...
Wow..Morning - Library, Noon at Masjid Jamia and Evening at Suria Plaza. I can't ask for more !

Factia : Suria Plaza is the place where we have the Petronas Twin towers ( Pride of Malaysia :)

We took the RapidKL and reached KLCC and had to walk a bit. It was easily locatable since the Twin towers was coming nearer and near, or should i say it seemed Bigger and Bigger !!

Well...i can't disagree ..it is a massive metallic construction, looks real big. However, as seen in pictures, it is very difficult to get a very exact picture of the twin towers..owing to its size.

But - I feel it was too big for me to get a clear view when i came near and i am too small in front of it !!!!!
Dear Reader(s) - I would dedicate few more Posts for the Petronas Twin towers since i just had a outside view and this post is meant for Suria Plaza !!

We came walking in front of the Suria Plaza and i could notice the Sun like Logo with Suria written on it. I could make that out since in Hindi Surya means the Sun. I heard it was owned by an Indian and definetly with the spealling it was suppose to be a South Indian guy.. Suria - You are Great :))

Even from a distance, i could identify the entrance owing to the crowd outside. It had a small pool, fountains and lots of walking, sitting place. A mini Park i would say. And filled with people catching up for fresh Air and of course Snaps ..click, click.

We walked some 200-300 mts and entered inside I could see the well lit and clean walls, surrounded with thousands of shops. Mostly apparells, designer waer i would say and other shops like Electronics, Food shops, Watches, shoes, bag..the usual Mall..to attract the people and empty their pockets ..( hee hee )

I could notice, the while colors everywhere, walls are while, the lifts are while, even the floors were while. I know white means Pure. But here it was Pure Indulgence.

The best part of the Mall which i like was the assistance booth, which was very much required since it was too big to remember which way to go.

With Near Year and Christmas very nearby, i could see lots of sale, offerings..i could even hear the announcements. We had visisted few Electronic Shops and one place where we spent a bit of time was Harley Davidson Bike Shops.

The bike are real attrative i would say, we thought to sit on that and take a snaps, but ridding was prohibited ( smart fellas :-). All we could do is to touch and see and then walk away, since it is too expensive $$$$$.

We moved to other shops and finally came to the Aquaria...well not for watching Aquaria, but for shoppping. We ( i and Anil ) had purchased few fancy gift items and later we moved to the Twin Towers shop at the KLCC, after which we came out. Later we assembled at the Outside Entrance of Suria Plaza and went to Aunt Annes shop some chocolate dipped Dougnets.

To be very honest those Dougnets were absolutely Delicious. The chocolate dipped flavour had made them as the BEST.

Soon we walked out of the Suria Mall, but all i could still remember about it was it was huge and the Twin towers wass huger.....

If you think you hadn't enough of Suria Plaza, then check out their beautiful website : http://www.suriaklcc.com.my/

I can surely see the indulgence if your eyes ;-)

Visit to the Library

I had visited the National Library - Malaysia on the Saturday..Thanks to my friends - Nasir and Brandon. Since i was picked in front of my hotel and went to the Library. In comparison to other Libraries, it was unique for various reasons :
1. No Membership fees
2. Card gets done within few mins
3. Reference and Borrowing are done in two separate buildings.
4. Reading facilities are different Paid ones with Chambers and it was Wi-Fi enabled.

They also had a section for Kids which means lots of fun around, since i could see children running around, with their momma hopping for books. While the Adult section was "Pin Drop" Silence Section :-)

We straight headed for Sangeeta for lunch and believe me, we had a wonderful Lunch at Sangeeta - Masjid Jamai.

So lunch after Reading sounded fun !!

Welcome to CyberJaya - Part II

Unlike Cyberabad or Electronics City, Cyberjaya was not having too many buildings, rather very less and handful. Also, one more thing unlike India there was not even a single shop or person walking on the roadside.

The bus stopped near the HSBC office and IBM building was the next to HSBC. I was not impressed with the look of the building since it seemed to me a small building meant for few hundred people. However, what took me by surprise was the ratio of women employees. Even the security guards were womens !!

The office was quiet and peaceful, people were all on time, i could see the office filled with people by 9 AM. However two to three things took me by surprise :

1. Very less printing ( unlike the loads of papers scattered and wasted in India )

2. Books in office ( no library, just few books available )

3. Fuss ball being available.

So it was work and fun..not to mention the office gets deserted after 5:30 :-)

Malaysia Bagus ( Malaysia is great )

Welcome to Cyberjaya - Second Day

"I am reaching there arindam da..i could see you and Abhiroop standing". It was 8:20 AM in the morning, i was rushing to reach the "New Wing Bus stand", since i went to the wrong path. The bus written "Cyberjaya" arrived. As expected it was good looking red coloured 'Rapid KL Bus' which had arrived.

"Beep, Beep...", i need to put the Reader in front to enter. Impressed !! it is a new Technology. No to carry money and forget the hassles of taking tickets or collecting changes. The bus went smooth and there was not even a single person standing at the peak hours, which means you get the busses at a good frequency and No one is in a Hurry :-)

I had travelled about 40 mins, chatting all the while with Arindam and Abhiroop and then they informed Venkat you are entering "Cyberjaya" the silicon valley of Malaysia. You will see Dell, HP, HSBC, IBM bus stops on the way, which means attending interviews could be done via Bus rather than walking :)

Welcome to CyberJaya my Second New Home :))

The First Day comes to an End

The first day of my first Malaysia visit came to an end at the One World Hotel room. All i can say was i was very Happy to meet my old friend / Manager - Arindam and extremely grateful for Anil for helping him throughout.

The hotel facilities were too good and extremely comfortable. With myself travelling several miles and not having proper sleep or rest, i though "I atleast deserve a good night sleep at this beautiful room".

The Day ended but my tenure with Malaysia had just begun....
